Today BSMWC is saying farewell to our newest intern Jordan Navarro. Jordan joined the team at the beginning of December 2020 as an Intern. BSMWC internships are typically for 6 Months, but Jordan’s internship has been cut short. Because he has found fulltime employment in the Water Industry!
As an Intern Jordan learned the ins and outs of a Water Worker I position. This is an entry level position for our field staff. His day to day is constantly changing with a variety of different tasks. Including, meter and register change outs, completing work orders, and installing new services for customers.
Before coming to BSMWC as an intern, Jordan was a manager of a Movie Theatre and worked other part time jobs. He chose to intern with BSMWC because he wanted to work for a stable company with opportunity for growth. Jordan says, “I wasn’t sure if the Water Industry was going to be the career for me, until I started at BSMWC. I now know there is never a dull moment in this industry, and I love my new career”.
Outside of work Jordan enjoys spending time working out, engineering music with friends, and spending time with his family. In addition, Jordan is still pursuing his education in Business and Water Technology.
Jordan will be continuing his career in the water industry as a Water System Maintenance Worker at La Puente Valley County Water District. We are sad to see him go so soon. However, BSMWC is proud to offer a program that has helped people like Jordan find and fall in love with a new career.
